Welcome to Hawthorn Hair, Modbury’s first sustainable hair salon.
Owners Lee and Sami opened Hawthorn Hair on Brownston Street in 2021, during the uncertainty of the pandemic. We created a small, welcoming space where appointments felt calm, personal and safe. It may not have seemed like the obvious time to open a business, but it felt like the right moment to make our dream of owning a salon a reality.
In an industry where beauty can sometimes outweigh conscience, we were determined to do things differently, combining exceptional hairdressing with a more sustainable approach.
In 2024, we moved to our larger salon on Broad Street, more than doubling our space. Although Hawthorn Hair has grown, our values remain the same: a genuine commitment to our craft, our clients and reducing our impact on the planet.

All Cut and Finish services include: Shampoo and condition, well-being head massage, cut and blowdry.

Colour services
Colouring – all colour prices are available on consultation.
Colour services include:
• Regrowth Tint
• Full head Tint
• Woven Highlights – Partial, Half or Full
• Balayage
• Creative Colour (Colour blocking).
• Colour Correction.
All colour services require a patch test at least 48 hours prior to colour service – all existing colour clients require patch test every 6 months.
Occasions
From a beautifully finished blow-dry to wedding and occasion hair, our stylists create considered looks designed to feel effortless and last beautifully.
Blow-dry and Styling from £35
Hair up Price on consultation
Wedding hair – Price on consultation. A deposit of 50% required to secure booking, bride must be available for a trial before wedding date.
